Automotive Code

This restricted access code used in the Automotive industry is a three dimensional, transient laminar and turbulent CFD code. The predictions are made on a structured mesh and the solutions are obtained using a two-colour ADI solver. The code was developed for and is used by a major industrial company. 

Code information: 4500 lines of source and 35 subroutines

Total Parallelization Time using ParaWise: Approximately 10 hours.

User Time: Approximately 30 minutes.

Results for the parallel Automotive CFD code generated by ParaWise with a two-dimensional partition are show to the left using a (RWTH Aachen University) and a Cray T3E demonstate excellent speeup and scalability 72 and 64 processors respectively.
