The FDL3DI code is used to model the Navier-Stokes equations and is used to study aeroelastic effects using a 1-D structural solver component. The serial FDL3DI code was developed by Dr M.Visbal at the Computational Sciences Branch, Air Force Research Labs. The parallelization was carried out by Professor P.Sadayappan, OSU with support from Parallel Software Products.

Code information: 9900 lines of source and 69 subroutines

Total Parallelization Time using ParaWise : Approximately 2 hours.

User Time: Approximately 10 minutes.

  Results

The results shown are for a 100x100x100 test case. The same code was transported (via ftp) to the different parallel platforms, compiled and linked with CAPLib to create the parallel executable.

* Results shown are for a small problem size + PC-based cluster using MYRINET
