Year 2000 compliance means that the information technology can accurately process date/time data (including, but not limited to, calculating, comparing, and sequencing) from, into, and between the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, and the years 1999 and 2000 and leap year calculations. Year 2000-compliant technology, when used in combination with other information technology, shall accurately process date/time data if the other information technology properly exchanges date/time data with it. In particular,
No value for current date will cause any interruption of operation
Date-based functionality must behave consistently for dates prior to, during, and after the year 2000
In all interfaces and data storage, the century in any date must be specified either explicitly or by unambiguous algorithms or inferencing rules
The year 2000 must be recognized as a leap year |
ParaWise does not use date information externally, internally, or in interfaces to other software, with the exception of code that implements licensing and prints timestamps to the screen. The software licensing code uses date information for the administration of product licenses and the timestamp information is not used internally. This code is Year 2000 compliant.
